Two full time speech language pathologists provide consultation, screening/evaluation and direct treatment to students in the Preschool, Head Start, elementary and middle/high school settings.

Susan Floyd, M.Ed., L/SLP and Heather Whalen, M.A. CCC-SLP evaluate and treat delays/disorders in articulation/phonology, receptive and expressive language, phonological awareness, speech motor planning, auditory and language processing, speech fluency and pragmatic (social) language. Mrs. Floyd and Mrs. Anacki are members of the Early Childhood ScreeningTeam, which screens both preschool and kindergarten aged students annually.

Consultation regarding feeding problems associated with dysphagia is provided as needed. Speech language pathologists consult with team members regarding augmentative communication devices for students who are nonverbal and will either assist/manage programming and developing vocabulary for those systems. They are the on-site specialists for students who have a diagnosis of hearing impairment and/or students who require asisted listening devices, such as FM systems. They provide training in the use of these systems and maintain them daily.

Susan Floyd provides instruction at the the preschool and kindergarten levels in the classroom to all students in the areas of language and speech sound awareness on a weekly basis, thereby reducing the numbers of students requiring direct intervention for articulation and phonological awareness in the first grade.

Heather Anacki is the speech language pathologist for the Autism Program at the elementary school and provides pragmatic (social) language therapy to students at the elementary school and middle/high school.
