Thomas Jefferson believed that no nation could be both ignorant and free. From the very birth of our nation, it was clear that public education was our best insurance against tyranny. Public education continues to be one of the great equalizers among the people of our nation, and remains one of the greatest and most important institutions that a community can support. We are proud to be the Lee Public Schools.

While our district, like many others, struggles with the changing demands and mandates in the world of education including NCLB and high stakes testing, we remain dedicated to teaching and reaching the whole child. We are working hard to meet the demands of the MCAS testing program, and to continually make our schools better places for our students and their families. We exist to serve young people, and we are grateful for the opportunity to do so.
